K-Pop boy band Super Junior is all excited about the second edition of Saudi Arabia’s KCon set to run on October 6 and 7 in Riyadh. Knowing what awaits them and the popularity of K-Pop in the kingdom, Super Junior is feeling the pressure.
Ryeowook, a member of Super Junior, said he want to show his fans songs and performances that can have a positive impact. Fellow member, Siwon said he would love to collaborate with local talent in the kingdom.
“I really hope this will happen. I believe that collaboration in the field of cultural exchange is a great development for both countries.” And Eunhyuk, who has two performances at the KCon, says he will show Super Junior and Super Junior – D&E’s performance together. “You will be able to see the charm of our diverse music and performances.”
Saudi KCon to Feature Various K-Pop Groups
K-Pop enthusiasts will be delighted to know that Saudi KCon will feature their favorite groups and artists, with the likes of Secret Number, The Boyz, STAYC, NewJean, P1Harmony, Sunmi, Rain and Hyolyn among others.
The Saudi Ministry of Culture, in partnership with CJ ENM, a Seoul-based entertainment company is making this happen. CJ ENM describes KCON as a K-Pop concert and convention held in one colossal event. This is the world’s largest live festival devoted to K-Culture.
KCon enjoys worldwide popularity. It combines music, culture, K-brands and K-lifestyle on one platform.
K-Pop Stars in Saudi Arabia
The KCon festival will be held at Boulevard Riyadh City, wherein 14 K-Pop bands and artists will perform an international concert. Fans can enjoy a variety of Korean cultural music, and cultural exhibitions to make the most of the two-day festival.
Super Junior’s Leeteuk shared that he was surprised to learn that people in Saudi Arabia are K-Pop fans. “I was very surprised and moved by their passion. I will do my best to repay their passionate love.”

Festival goers will see performances by Highlight, Kard, Riize, Everglow, Hyolyn, and Super Junior – D&E on the first day, and El7z Up, Oh My Girl, TNX, Tempest, Super Junior and Dreamcatcher on the second day.
