Iraq Becomes Guest of Honor at ‘Made in Saudi’ Expo 2023

The upcoming “Made in Saudi” Expo is poised to be a remarkable event as it welcomes Iraq as the guest of honor for its second edition. The expo, which will take place from October 16 to 19 at the prestigious Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, promises to be a grand platform showcasing the strength and diversity of the Saudi and Iraqi business landscapes.

The selection of Iraq as the guest of honor for this year’s expo is a testament to the robust economic relations between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Fostering Economic Partnerships:

The participation of more than 24 Iraqi companies from various sectors in the expo, alongside over 100 national companies, underscores the commitment of both nations to foster economic partnerships. Boosting Non-Oil Exports:

Over the past five years, from 2018 to 2022, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has significantly contributed to Iraq’s economic growth through non-oil exports. These exports have steadily risen to a total value of SR14.8 billion.

Construction Materials Sector Takes the Lead:

Among the various sectors, the construction materials sector has emerged as the top exporting sector, with a substantial export value of SR4.42 billion. This underscores the critical role of this sector in strengthening economic ties and addressing Iraq’s growing infrastructure needs.
