f1 drivers are gearing up for free practice laps today at stc saudi arabian grand prix

One of the six night races in the 2025 F1 calendar, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix free practice session for the 20 drivers from the Top 10 F1 teams is set to happen today, 18 April 2025 at stc circuit. This is the fifth year for F1 fans to enjoy the race at Saudi Arabia in the venue, a truly exciting time of the gaming season.

As a part of the fifth round in the 2025 Formula 1 Championship, the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix starts off with two practice sessions – each lasting one hour. The first practice race begins at 4.30 PM GMT and the second resumes at 8 PM at Jeddah, reports SPA (Saudi Press Agency).

The Jeddah circuit has been a part of the F1 Races from 2021, when the Saudi Arabian Circuit lit up for the top drivers to zoom past each other in one of the fastest tracks in the world. Stretching to 6.174 km, the Jeddah Corniche Circuit is the third longest in the 2025 Race calendar.

Famous for the 12 degree drift in turn 13, the excitement brims for the drivers to push through at a top speed reaching 322 km/h and an averaging pace of 250 km/h, Jeddah is the second fastest circuit after Monza in the current season.

While major history at the Saudi Arabian Circuit already like the inauguration year winner Lewis Hamilton (then Mercedes) is now driving for Ferrari and the 2022 Runner Up Charles Leclerc poised along with Hamilton in Red, Max Verstappan maintains his speed and is still stunning the fans, reminding his propulsion from 15th to P2 in 2023, right at Jeddah, fans are in for an exhilarating race over the weekend.
