Dubai princess Shaikha Mahra launches perfume ‘Divorce’ after a high-profile split

The Princess of Dubai, HH Shaikha Mahra, has announced on Tuesday a line of perfumes named ‘Divorce’ under her brand Mahra M1. It comes after Her Highness publicly divorced her husband Sheikh Mana, an Emirati businessman, in an Instagram post on July 16.

The 30-year-old daughter of HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, UAE’s Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, shared a teaser of the product on Instagram last Monday. The video featured a montage of broken glass, black petals and a black panther.

Shaikha Mahra’s decision to divorce her husband in the triple talaq style on social media captured global attention. The post’s popularity also stems from the fact that the former couple brought their first child together just a couple of months before the incident.

The recently announced line of fragrances is one of the Princess of Dubai’s several business ventures. She is one of the 26 children of HH Sheikh Mohammed – one of the richest royals globally. His fortune reportedly amounts to nearly $14-18 billion.

Shaikha Mahra is the daughter of Zoe Grigorakos from Greece. Grigorakos and the Ruler of Dubai are divorced. By Tuesday afternoon, the teaser on Instagram had already gathered more than 494,000 views and been liked by over 26,160 accounts.
