Doha to Host the Wings for Life World Run 2025: A Global Race for a Good Cause
The Wings for Life World Run is scheduled to start at Khalifa International Stadium in Doha starting at 2:00 pm local time, on May 4th 2025. Unlike Traditional Race, The Wings for Life World Run is a global charity event that connects runners and wheelchair racers from every corner of the world. Rather than run towards the finish line, the Wings for Life World Run features a “Catcher Car” which will start 30 minutes after the runners start. During the race, the car will gradually increase its speed until it eventually overtakes you and ends your race.
In Doha, the participants will run laps on the stadium 400 m track. Everyone is welcome to participate but some sections of the track may not be accessible or safe to wheelchair users. The entry fee is INR 1300 for this event.

Runners will need to download the Wings for Life World Run App where you will track your race and will notify you when the Catcher Car has caught you. The app automatically syncs with participants all over the world, creating a united and connected experience.
The Wings for Life World Run started in 2014, and is now one of the largest and most successful fundraising events raising money for spinal cord research (100% of entry fees, donations and fundraising raised goes directly to spinal cord research.) The 2025 run will uphold this first tradition of having participants running in Doha and getting people around the world to run for those who cannot run.
Registration and more information can be found at the official Wings for Life World Run Doha page.
