Clement Lenglet, a popular and professional French footballer who plays as a center-back for La Liga club Barcelona and the France national team, is likely to join Al Nassr Football Club of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The footballer was left out of the Barcelona squad for the La Liga opener on Sunday. According to The Athletic, Barcelona FC was not happy to keep him.
According to reports from SPORT, Barcelona FC and Al Nassr FC will hold a meeting on 16 August over Clement Lenglet’s transfer. If the meeting goes well, Clement Lenglet can join other players in the Al Nassr club, including football sensation Cristiano Ronaldo, a famous footballer Sadio Mané, Alex Telles and Seko Fofana.
According to reports, earlier, Barcelona demanded a fee of €15 million for the transfer of Clement Lengle to the Tottenham Hotspur Football Club. However, Tottenham or Spurs refused to pay €15 million. The professional football club based in Tottenham offered €5 million for Clement Lengle’s transfer. The negotiations were not successful.
According to reports, Al-Nassr FC is willing to pay €10 million as a fixed fee with €5 million in variables for Clement Lengle’s transfer.
Clement Lengle began his career with Nancy, a French football club. He won the Ligue 2 title in the 2015–16 season. In 2017, Clement Lengle joined Sevilla, a Spanish professional football club based in Seville, for a €5.4 million fee. Later on, he joined Barcelona in 2018 for €35 million. He had a great start.
