Abu Dhabi to Get Robo Taxi Service in 2026: AI-Powered Ride
Abu Dhabi is getting ready to upgrade and grow its smart mobility landscape with Autogo’s self-driving ride hailing service coming in 2026. Autogo is still working with Baidu’s Apollo Go on testing for its robo taxi service, working with the emirate’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) to ensure it is compliant with the regulatory framework and integrated into the emirate’s existing transportation landscape.
Apollo Go, a worldwide leader in autonomous ride hailing has already completed over 150 million autonomous kilometers with an excellent safety record. Its next fleet will feature the RT6 which is a fully autonomous vehicle intended for safer and more efficient transportation.
Abu Dhabi will improve road safety, lower carbon emissions and urban mobility by adopting artificial intelligence via this initiative. The emirate’s embracing autonomous transport indicates a shift towards an environmentally friendly method of transportation that is futuristic yet sustainable.
