The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s famous animators, who are famous for creating “Masameer County”, are set to create another Saudi film.

Abdulaziz Abdulaziz Almuzaini and Malik Nejer are set to release their first live action Netflix original film, “Head to Head,” in August.

“Head to Head” is called “Ras B Ras” in Arabic language. It is an offbeat comedy film set in the fictional world of Bathaikha. “Head to Head ” is the first film of Abdulaziz Almuzaini’s new production studio, Sirb. However, this film is a part of Mykott Animation Studio, a Saudi company, founded in Riyadh in 2014 by Abdulaziz Abdulaziz Almuzaini and Malik Nejer, which specializes in animation.

According to reports, Abdulaziz Abdulaziz Almuzaini started with “Masameer” on YouTube in 2011. It became a successful theatrical film in 2020. Later on, the team signed a five-year deal with the streaming platform Netflix to continue the series and create new projects like “Head to Head.”

Malik Nejer told Arab News, “What we focus on is trying to create films and TV shows that are good, and that people actually want to watch. That’s it for us. If we can achieve that, we’re happy.”

“Head to Head”, a comedy film, will launch on August 3 on Netflix.

Film makers across the world are showing interest in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. In June, producers of cryptocurrency drama “Paper Empire” season 3 announced that the film will be shot in Saudi Arabia. They started pre-production activities in AlUla, the northwest region of Saudi Arabia.
