Kuwait Experiences Rainfall Following Low-Pressure System
Low-pressure systems and deeper atmospheric depression caused different rain levels throughout Kuwait on Wednesday evening. Dharar Al-Ali of the Meteorology Department revealed that of all the weather stations in Kuwait, Kuwait Airport reported 3.85 mm as the most rainfall whereas Abdali registered just 0.26 mm.
In a KUNA news report on Thursday, Dharar Al-Ali described how meteorological stations nationwide showed light to heavy rainfall amounts. The city of Al-Wafra collected 3.65 millimeters of rain while Jal Al-Liyah recorded 3.03 millimeters and Al-Rabiyah 2.6 millimeters. As for Salmiya, the rain total came to 1.17 millimeters. The rainfall happened due to the current weather pattern that affected this area.
According to Al-Ali, the precipitation will continue through Thursday evening before clouds begin to clear up and rainfall possibilities fall. When the weather system starts to fade conditions get better but some areas still develop fog because of remaining moisture against temperature difference.
According to the Meteorology Department, people need to be vigilant when driving in foggy areas. Authorities watch current weather patterns to keep sharing updated information that protects everyone. Kuwait residents know these weather conditions because they happen at the end of every season.
