Leading Carrier Flynas Is Now The Only Airline With Four Bases Across Saudi Arabia

Flynas, the leading low-cost carrier in Saudi Arabia, has launched its newest operation base at Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medinah and inaugurated six destinations and routes in domestic and international categories.

The carrier now operates a couple of domestic flights to Abha and Tabuk and four international flights to Dubai in the UAE, Amman in Jordan and Istanbul and Ankara in Turkey, alongside the other four existing destinations, from Madinah to Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah and Cairo, Egypt.

Flynas’ Expansion And Growth Plans

Flynas has become the only airline with four bases across the Kingdom. The total number of destinations it currently serves from the new operation base is 10. Ceo and Managing Director Bander Al-Mohanna said more new destinations are set to be announced in the future.

The announcement comes in line with Flynas’ expansion and growth plans and in parallel with the objectives of the Pilgrim Experience Programme to facilitate access to the Two Holy Mosques, and the National Civil Aviation Strategy.

The strategy is designed to enable national air carriers to contribute to connecting 250 International destinations to Saudi Arabia, in addition to reaching 330 million passengers and luring in 100 million tourists every year by the end of the decade.

Al-Mohanna said: “Operating 10 routes from the new base as a start was made possible as a result of more than 100% upscaling of our all-Airbus fleet in less than two years, in line with the growth and expansion plan … under the slogan ‘We Connect the World to the Kingdom’.

Saudi Vision 2030 In Focus

Since its launch in 2007, Flynas has flown more than 60 million passengers. It connects more than 70 domestic and international destinations with more than 1,500 weekly flights. The carrier plans to reach 165 destinations, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
