In a swift response to the devastating earthquake that struck northwest of Herat, the UAE dispatched an aircraft laden with 33 tonnes of food supplies to aid those impacted. This humanitarian effort aims to alleviate the suffering of thousands affected, including women and children, and to address the significant damage to vital infrastructure.

Sheikh Nahyan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of the Foundation’s Board of Trustees, swiftly organized and delivered emergency assistance to the earthquake victims in Herat province, Afghanistan. The aid, a collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, included vital provisions such as food and medical supplies, extending the Foundation’s commitment to humanitarian roles and charitable goals, both within and beyond national borders.
UAE’s Unwavering Commitment to Global Relief:
Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development, and International Organizations Affairs, underscored the UAE’s role as one of the first responders in offering support to Afghanistan in the wake of the earthquake.
