The capital of Qatar is hugely famous for the luxurious experiences it offers. But Doha is also full of several fun free things to do. From traditional souq to striking public art, there are a number of interesting things to do in Doha this October.
October is also a good time to travel to Doha. The atmosphere during this month starts to turn cooler and breezy. The temperature usually ranges from 27-35 degrees Celsius. There are plenty of events to check out and activities to try.
Top free things to do in Doha this October
1. Katara Cultural Village and Hills
Katara Cultural Village is an important cultural hub in Doha. You can go around the galleries and then relax in the beautiful Katara North and South Hills. These manmade hills offer great views of several landmarks such as Katara Mosque and the gift box-shaped Children’s Mall.
2. Mina District
The Mina District is easily one of the most picturesque neighbourhoods in Doha. It is the revamped Old Doha Port. The beautiful pastel-coloured buildings and cobbled streets are going to steal your attention. You can also discover marine life at an aquarium.
3. Doha Corniche
Your travel to Doha cannot be considered complete if you don’t stroll along the picture-perfect Corniche – a 7 km-long promenade full of palm trees and public art pieces. Take a break at the Umbrella Park for its scenic floral and umbrella tunnels. It’s an Instagram hotspot.
4. Free trams
Doha’s public transport system has three different trams and a couple of them are free to use. It is a relaxed method to explore Msheireb Museums, Msheireb Galleria, Ceremonial Court, Qur’anic Botanic Garden, Qatar National Library and Mathaf: Museum of Modern Art.
5. Qatar National Library
