Currently in the midst of promoting the fourth season of “Miracle Workers”, Daniel Radcliffe has given a string of great performances in numerous acclaimed projects. But it is likely that whatever he does, he will always be associated with the Harry Potter series.
Such is the ever-lasting popularity and impact of these movies. The British actor spent a major portion of his growing-up years playing the role of Harry based on the admirable creations of JK Rowling, which is immensely loved by fans of both the film franchise and the hit novels.
The first film in the series came out in 2002, with the final one dropping after a decade in 2012. Besides Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint became household names and their identities got connected with these characters for eras.
And with a fresh project now in the picture, the global audience is speculating whether Radcliffe will return to the wizarding world. It was of course inevitable that he would be asked to share his thoughts on the upcoming Max TV reboot.
Will The Old Harry Return?
Sharing his thoughts in a recent interview with ComicBook.com, published on Monday, the actor explained why he’s not interested in returning. Wishing the people involved all the luck in the world, Radcliffe shared his excitement to have that torch passed.
“My understanding is that they’re trying to very much start fresh and I’m sure whoever is making them will want to make their own mark on it and probably not want to have to figure out how to get old Harry to cameo in this somewhere.”

Warner Bros. Discovery confirmed its plan to expand the world of wizards in April 2023. The stories from each of Rowling’s hit fantasy novels will become a decade-long series produced with the same care the franchise is known for, the press release read.
The series will feature a new cast, full of the fantastic detail and dramatic locations HP fans have loved for decades, it added. The series was described as a “faithful adaptation” of Rowling’s books, with the author working as an executive producer.
