It’s going to be an unforgettable evening as Grammy-recipient Khalid holds his first-ever live concert in Dubai on March 8. The international R&B sensation is all set to perform his chart-topping tunes, including the Diamond-certified track Young Dumb & Broke.
The popstar has cemented his position as a global icon – from receiving platinum certification for his debut album to grabbing a number of awards including six Billboard Music Awards, three American Music Awards and one MTV Video Music Awards.
Khalid in Dubai: Ticket booking and rules for audience
Tickets are still available for the Friday concert at Coca-Cola Arena, starting from Dh199 for Bronze category tickets to Dh299 for silver, Dh399 for Platinum and Regular standing (ages 16+), Dh499 for Diamond and Golden Circle Standing (ages 16+).
In terms of public transportation, the closest metro station to the venue is Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall. But if someone plans to drive, they can park their car opposite Safa Park, in front of Medcare Hospital and take a bus or taxi to the arena. One can hail RTA taxis too.
There are a handful of rules, such as spectators under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult or parent aged 18 or above. Children under 14 are not permitted in the general admission standing floor area. Every individual must carry a valid ticket to enter the venue.
The upcoming concert is being brought to you by Dubai Calendar and presented by All Things Live Middle East. It comes as Khalid’s (full name Khalid Robinson) initial gig in the emirate due to take place on October 27 last year had to be postponed.
Not the first performance from Khalid in UAE
Despite being just 26 years old, the superstar’s instantly recognisable soulful sound and thought-provoking lyrics have turned him into one of the top names in R&B in recent years. Besides Young Dumb & Broke, he is also known for Better, Eastside, and Love Lies.
Nonetheless, the March 8 Dubai event is certainly not Khalid’s first performance in the UAE. In 2021, he was one of the A-List headliners at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix after-race concerts. Keep an eye out for further updates on the highly-anticipated performance.
