Ten years ago, Summer Shesha worked in finance, a world in which she excelled. She seemed on track for a successful career. But then, a surprising turn of events changed everything. A casual casting call she found on Twitter turned her life around. Little did she know that this decision would also transform her mother’s life in the future.

Summer’s experience of working in “Crashing Eid.”

Today, Summer Shesha is about to become a global star. She’s the leading actress in Netflix’s first Saudi Arabian series, “Crashing Eid,” set to launch on October 19. Her ambition and dedication are driving her success in the acting industry.

In her words, she says, “I’ve always been practical. If I pursue something, I want it to lead somewhere. For a long time, I didn’t think that following my passion could bring me the success I dreamed of, something that people worldwide would appreciate.”

Summer is incredibly proud of “Crashing Eid.” She believes it’s fantastic, entertaining, and funny, and its themes, while specific to Saudi Arabia, will resonate with audiences worldwide. The series tells a unique Saudi story with love and a Saudi heart, making it captivating.

Interest in Acting Increased:

Summer’s journey began when she took a small role in Mahmoud Sabbagh’s web series, “Kash,” 2013. Her curiosity quickly turned into a deep passion for acting.
She had initially planned to be on set for just two hours, but she found herself staying much longer.

In 2022, her friend Fatima Al-Banawi, a Saudi actor and filmmaker, sought great 50-year-old Saudi actresses for her directorial debut. She struggled to find them. That’s when an idea struck Summer. While having her mother on set added a natural family vibe to the series, one aspect was new and challenging – playing a mother herself.
