The new venture will be centered around building a state-of-the-art Artificial Intelligence (AI) datacenter in Abu Dhabi, with 200 megawatts operated by 2026. By putting so much effort into infrastructure, the UAE has become the region’s top center for technology and attracts both global investors and talent. Experts in the industry see it as further proof of the UAE’s wise strategies, and a senior official points out that it highlights just how committed the country is to guiding industry plans in the region and further afield.
Carried out with Liwa5, the joint project will also include UAE investments in US fiber optic cables for larger digital connectivity. The process supports and enhances both countries’ competencies and positions the UAE at the core of the connection between East and West. Handling various major infrastructure works, from top-level airports to energy projects, has proven that the country will handle this AI project as planned.
