The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is all set to launch the 34th edition of the Sharjah Ramadan Festival from March 8 to April 13, spreading joy among the emirate’s residents and visitors and enhancing social and cultural engagement.
The 37-day event is expected to cover all cities and regions across Sharjah. The organising committee said preparations involved meetings with government and private institutions and agencies to foster coordination and collaboration to ensure the festival’s success.
Numerous prominent shopping centres, destinations and retail stores will take part in the event, presenting a string of marketing, heritage and entertainment activities. The festivities will provide a broad range of products at substantial discounts.
Catalyst for stimulating Sharjah’s economic landscape
The Sharjah Ramadan Festival’s entertainment and heritage events create a special ambiance for the holy month. In addition, scores of exciting draws, competitions and valuable prizes for attendees, besides different recreational activities, have been planned.
The festival has become an important catalyst for stimulating Sharjah’s economic landscape, especially the retail sector, a cornerstone of the emirate’s economic activity, said Abdullah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of the SCCI.
He highlighted that the event is expected to invigorate the tourism sector, eventually strengthening the broader business community. This year’s edition promises to offer a memorable experience for all, spreading joy and unity during Ramadan.
Ramadan 2024: Just days left to the start of holy month
The Director-General of the SCCI, Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, said the upcoming festival has been meticulously planned to engage some of the most prominent shopping centres and retail outlets across Sharjah to present competitive offers and amazing discounts.
Moreover, the Ramadan Nights exhibition at Expo Centre Sharjah is set to launch too, seeking to broaden the public’s access to a diverse range of products and merchandise at competitive prices throughout the holy month, further enhancing the festival shopping experience.
Ramadan 2024 is one of the most significant dates in the calendar for anyone living in the UAE. The holy month could start on March 11 or March 12 this year, depending on the sighting of the crescent of Ramadan. Keep an eye out for the official declaration from UAE authorities.
