Morocco Vows Solidarity With Saudi Arabia, King Mohammed VI Says, “Any Attack on Saudi Arabia Is an Attack on Morocco”

Morocco has reiterated its close cooperation with the Kingdom after successive pulverisation of Saudi Arabia by Houthis. King Mohammed VI sent two messages to Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and to Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, in condemnatory language, completely rejecting the attacks, and expressing support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the issues related to its security and sovereignty.

Morocco Condemns Attacks on Civilians and Infrastructure

The Moroccan king denounced “repeated attacks” on civilian and economic facilities, vital infrastructure, cities and residential areas in Saudi Arabia. He stated that holy places of Makkah and Madinah were sacred to Muslims of all nations in the world and added that the claimed attacks on these places would worry him.

The strong statement coincides with the increased tensions in the region that stem from Yemen’s conflict.
