The Kuwait Football Association (KFA) has announced the dates for the nation’s most highly anticipated football tournaments. The Amir Cup Final for season 2024-2025 will be on June 16 and the Crown Prince Cup Final will be on May 19.
KFA Chairman Sheikh Ahmed Al-Yousef conveyed his deepest appreciation to His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshaal Al-Ahmad Al Jaber Al-Sabah for his ongoing patronage of the tournament. He also conveyed appreciation to His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah for his strong support of Kuwaiti football.
Though the Amir Cup has not yet started, the Crown Prince Cup is already in progress and some clubs have already qualified for the following rounds. In the initial fixtures, Kuwait Club swept Al-Tadamon aside with a 5-0 win while Khaitan overcame Al-Suloibikhat with a 4-1 penalty victory after a 0-0 draw. Kazma also progressed after winning against Al-Yarmouk 3-1. Al-Salmiya smashed Burgan 5-1 while Al-Fahaheel won 2-0 against Al-Shabab.
Other matches in this round are Al-Qadsiya vs Al-Nasr (Monday), Al-Arabi vs. Al-Sahel (Tuesday) and Al-Jahra vs Al-Jazeera (Wednesday).
As the tournament is heating up, Kuwaiti football supporters look forward to exciting battles in the run-up to the finals in May and June.
