Joint Condemnation: GCC and Arab Parliament React to Israeli Minister’s Gaza Nuclear Remark

The dangerous remarks made by an Israeli minister in the occupying government regarding the use of a nuclear bomb on Gaza, according to Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem Mohamed Albudaiwi, highlight the extreme nature of the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people.

“The dangerous statements by a minister in the Israeli occupying government regarding the use of a nuclear bomb on Gaza are a call for genocide, confirming the extremism and brutality of the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people, and its grave and ongoing violations in Gaza, along with its disregard for the lives of innocent civilians,” Albudaiwi said this on a statement .

The Secretary-General of the GCC demanded that the Israeli government be held responsible for this heedless threat.

He vehemently denounced these contradictory remarks and deeds, which have the potential to worsen the current situation in the Gaza Strip and highlight the Israeli occupation’s determination to carry out this attack in defiance of all international agreements, standards, and regulations.

The Israeli Minister’s remarks have also been denounced by the Arab Parliament (AP), which called them “barbaric,” “confirming the criminal and racist nature of the occupying forces, and “blatantly disregarding all international laws and norms.”

The AP stressed that if it weren’t for the abject silence that still permeates the international community, the repressive occupying force would not have been able to carry out such heinous deeds and threaten to employ WMD.

According to the AP, this silence endures in spite of the occupying force’s racist and genocide against the Palestinian people.

The AP further demanded that the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) carry out its global obligations, denounce these claims as an official admission by the Israeli government under occupation that it possesses nuclear weapons, and formally document it.

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation and the Muslim World League, for their parts, denounced the Israeli remarks.

The MWL issued statements sharply criticising the Israeli statement, highlighting its degree of brashness and cruelty.

The MWL made an appeal for the world community to take responsibility for the horrific events that have occurred in the Gaza Strip, particularly given the dire consequences that they continue to have.

Additionally, the OIC denounced the racist comments made by the Israeli Heritage Minister, claiming that they were in flagrant violation of international law, conventions, and resolutions and that they reflected extremism, hate speech, incitement to violence, organised terrorism, and the ongoing genocide that the Israeli occupation is carrying out against Palestinian civilians on a daily basis.

Furthermore, the OIC stressed that this speech is unacceptable and a continuation of the ideology of extremist terrorism.

In addition, it demanded that the international community denounce the Israeli occupation and put effective measures in place to stop its military aggression, ongoing massacres, and genocide against the Palestinian people.

In response to the Israeli Minister’s nuclear threat to Gaza, the GCC and Arab Parliament stood united. The region has expressed strong opposition to any threats of violence or harm. It sends a clear message that the international community must prioritize peace and stability in the Middle East. Such solidarity highlights the importance of diplomacy and peaceful resolutions, and serves as a reminder of the need to avoid any actions or statements that can escalate tensions in the already fragile region.
