Emirati and Singaporean entities sign key MoUs to facilitate joint efforts

HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, and Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of Singapore, recently attended a ceremony of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) exchanges to foster collaboration in key areas.

Multiple Emirati and Singaporean entities inked deals to improve bilateral partnership. The ceremony included the exchange of an MoU on public service cooperation. This is aimed at facilitating joint efforts and exchanging expertise in the public service sector.

Several senior officials from the UAE and Singapore government attended the MoU exchange ceremony on October 29. On the sidelines of His Highness’s trip to Singapore, Mubadala Capital and Seviora Holdings also signed a deal to enhance cooperation.

Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed also attended a UAE-Singapore Business Council event. The event highlighted the investment opportunities offered by the UAE’s business-friendly environment to further strengthen bilateral economic and trade relations.

During the official visit, His Highness commended the strong economic, trade and investment ties both countries share, emphasising the importance of further strengthening their comprehensive economic partnership.

The event stressed the need to continue to drive investment across multiple key sectors, including artificial intelligence and innovation, advanced technology, education, energy, urban planning and smart cities, and sustainable economic development and research.

The UAE and Singapore exchanged a MoU to support artificial intelligence initiatives and develop talent in this evolving sector, and another MoU to improve bilateral cooperation in the development of peaceful nuclear energy.

MoU to facilitate information sharing, expertise exchange

During the MoU exchange ceremony on Tuesday, Emirati and Singaporean entities noted the inking of a deal focusing on enhancing collaboration in civil service development and supporting competency-building in both countries.

The Department of Community Development in the UAE capital and Singapore’s Ministry of Social and Family Development also inked an MoU to promote information sharing, expertise exchange and research in social and family development.
