The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has launched a fully digital birth certificate issuance service. The new service ensures a faster, efficient and hassle free experience for residents. This plan is in accordance with Dubai’s strategy for smart transformation which includes improving service accessibility for customers and reducing parents administrative burden.
How Does the Digital Birth Certificate System Work?
As per the new system put in place, hospitals in Dubai will send notifications of birth along with other required documents through the electronic system. Parents can then go to the DHA site to complete their application, choose how many copies they require and pay online without going to a service center.
Birth certificates will be issued within one working day and delivered via email or mobile phone. Parents who prefer a physical copy can opt for a courier service in the portal.
Key Features of DHA’s Digital Birth Certificate Service:
- Parents can get the certificate in Arabic, English and Urdu.
- The parents can get any additional copies of the certificate online. Lost certificates will be replaced with a police report while additional new copies can be ordered online.
- You can pay by using cards, bank transfer and other electronic options.
