The Dubai Police has unveiled the UAE’s first female land rescue team, comprising 18 non-commissioned officers at the state level. The inaugural batch represents the country’s commitment to supporting the female population in security and military fields.
The Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police congratulated the members of the first female team of its kind in the country on their graduation. “This approach aims to strengthen their ability to perform their duties effectively and professionally,” he continued.
Highlighting the crucial role Emirati women play across various sectors, he added: “Their presence not only demonstrates their qualifications and ability to tackle challenges but also significantly enhances the overall effectiveness of the police system.”

The Dubai Police’s first female land rescue team batch is making headlines as scores of people congratulate them on their graduation and their successful completion of courses that simulated real-life scenarios.
The 18 female graduates are being commended for demonstrating exceptional skills during training and their strong commitment to proving their competence in rescue, extraction and recovery operations, according to official media reports.
The graduates expressed pride in their achievements. The graduation ceremony included executing different scenarios, such as rescue operations for road accidents, firefighting, opening vehicle doors, using rescue equipment and deploying aerial balloons.
