Cristiano Ronaldo, the renowned football superstar, might soon venture into the world of professional wrestling. Yes, he may soon make a presence in WWE (World Wrestling Entertainment).
Reports are suggesting that Cristiano Ronaldo is in talks to make a special appearance alongside the legendary 16-time WWE World Champion, John Cena.
WWE fans are excited about having Ronaldo as a guest at their upcoming Pay-Per-View (PPV) event called Crown Jewel, scheduled for November 4 in Saudi Arabia. WWE is reportedly offering him a big amount as his fees for his upcoming appearance, as we know his global popularity.
If you’re unaware of Crown Jewel, let me tell you that it is an annual event that WWE has held in Saudi Arabia since around 2018.
The wrestling entertainment company has organized various shows in the Saudi region. In May, Jeddah hosted the Night of Champions 2023 event.
Even if Ronaldo agrees to this deal, he won’t be the first football star to step into the WWE ring. Former Manchester United teammate Wayne Rooney has made a WWE Raw appearance in 2015.
Other football figures like Grant Holt, Adebayo Akinfenwa, and Tim Wiese have also got featured in WWE shows previously.
Apollo Crews, a WWE NXT star, expressed confidence in Ronaldo’s potential debut. He mentioned that Ronaldo’s elite athlete mentality could serve him well in the wrestling world.
However, Crews acknowledged that the physical aspect of wrestling is a different challenge, even for top athletes. Nevertheless, he wouldn’t rule out Ronaldo’s ability to adapt and succeed.
If Cristiano Ronaldo’s rumored WWE appearance at Crown Jewel really happens, it will definitely create significant buzz among WWE fans.
