Berklee Abu Dhabi’s Autumn Musical Soiree: A Treat for Your Ears

An exciting autumn filled with enriching opportunities for both seasoned musicians and aspiring talents across the UAE and the wider MENA region is about to begin at the prestigious music institution, Berklee Abu Dhabi.

Soon, the city’s center will be filled with melodic sounds as Berklee continues to be a leader in developing local talent.

A wide range of certificate programs covering vocals, piano, DJing, turntablism, digital music production, mixing, and even offerings for those with an artistic bent, like youth modern dance and ballet, are being introduced by the institution. Globally recognized music maestros are leading each module, guaranteeing an immersive educational experience.

Performance Artistry and Leadership, or “PEARL,” is the esteemed program at the center of this musical odyssey.

12-Week Excursion

This 12-week adventure is specifically designed for local artists looking to establish themselves internationally. The program culminates in a grand end-of-year concert that promises to be a crescendo of talent and creativity. It incorporates workshops, incubation seminars, and recording sessions.

The two-day Creative Arts Educators’ Symposium, which gathers pedagogical insights from renowned educators at Berklee’s Boston and Valencia campuses, demonstrates the organization’s dedication to music education in the MENA region.

In the community, October 19 will mark the next installment of Saadiyat Sounds, a monthly open-mic event that showcases local talent. Moreover, the November 4 and 5 Berklee Abu Dhabi Music Summit is expected to be a melting pot for both seasoned professionals and newcomers to the scene. A variety of thought-provoking keynotes, panels, and riveting performances are in store for attendees.

A Treat for Your Ears

November offers something extra special for art lovers. Commencing on November 8, the exhibition “Nowhere & Everywhere At The Same Time” honors the creative vision of dance maestro William Forsythe and represents a noteworthy collaboration with the US Mission to the United Arab Emirates.

The melody doesn’t end there, though. Renate Tsuyako Rohlfing, a distinguished artist, leads Berklee students on an immersive musical academic journey under the auspices of the “Meet the Masters” workshops. November 11–12 is when her masterclass, “Music & Health,” is scheduled to occur.
