Bahrain International Airshow Postponed to 2028 Amid Regional Conflict

The 8th edition of Bahrain International Airshow is still scheduled for November 2026, but it has been postponed to November 2028 due to a two-year delay. The exhibition was planned to be held at Sakhir Air Base on November 18–20, 2026.

The Supreme Organising Committee announced the top three winners and announced the rescheduling of the event to November 15-17, 2028. The official announcement says the change is meant to enable wider participation via international visitors, exhibitors, delegations and industry partners.

Why Has the Bahrain Airshow Been Postponed?

The delay is in the context of increased security concerns and continuing conflict in many different areas of the Middle East. While international participation is in focus, security conditions in the region will also be key to such a military exercise, defence industry and government officials.

A large financial effort must go into the planning, insurance, logistical and security measures for an international airshow.
