Apple to Unveil Foldable iPhone and New Pro Models: What UAE Buyers Should Know

On September 9, 2026, Apple will roll out its annual fall event in the Steve Jobs Theater, featuring its newest flagship devices. The most enticing feature for UAE users may be Apple’s first-ever foldable iPhone, along with the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max.

The event will take place at 9:00 PM UAE time; arguably Apple will begin to roll out with the top-of-the-market devices first. The standard iPhone 18 is said to be unconfirmed quantity modifications, awaiting early 2027.

Foldable iPhone Could Be Apple’s Biggest Launch

Apple’s eagerly anticipated foldable phone will be based around a passport-style layout, with a smaller display over the top that folds back over the main display. The report also mentions an A20 Pro chipset and a new build of titanium hinge capable of multiple folding.

When it comes to UAE buyers, price will be an important factor. The global forecast is set to be in the range of $2000 to $2500 which is estimated at AED 8,500 to 9,800 in UAE. The higher storage models would be closer to AED 13,000.

iPhone 18 Pro Models Target Premium Buyers

The iPhone 18 Pro and 18 Pro Max should feature some major new hardware additions, such as a smaller Dynamic Island, a camera where part of the display is now covered by Face ID and the new A20 Pro chipset.

Mechanical variable-aperture technology is also something the camera system could feature to bolster its upgrade. Price estimates indicate that the iPhone 18 Pro will cost between AED 5,099 and AED 5,999, with potential for the iPhone 18 Pro Max to run anywhere from AED 5,549 to AED 6,399 in the UAE.

Apple Watch and AirPods Join the Lineup

Apple is also anticipated to launch the Apple Watch Series 12 and the Apple Watch Ultra 4, both of which will have enhanced health tracking features and hardware around on-device Apple Intelligence functions.

The UAE pricing of entry is estimated at around AED 1,599 for the Series 12 and AED 3,199 for the Ultra 4. This event will also showcase the next-generation AirPods 5.

What UAE Buyers Should Expect?

This Apple launch might be unique to all the previous September launches in terms of the expected premium first approach. Initial availability might also be limited due to supply constraints at the fold, but availability for the Pro models may be more accessible to UAE users.

Those with a keen interest in purchasing the iPhone 12 are likely to find it available for potential pre-orders by about September 12, and in-store introduction by September 19, though plans should be put in place only after Apple’s announcement in UAE.
