Content creator platform Fanfix enters Middle East

Fanfix, a content creator marketplace where creators can monetize their content from their followers, launched by entrepreneurs Harry Gestetner and Simon Pompan, and social media personality Cameron Dallas in Los Angeles, is officially entering the Middle East region. 

Ally Salama, director of Fanfix MENA (Middle east and North Africa), said that Fanfix aims to become a “brand-friendly” and “clean” platform. He said, “We are very uptight about our values and core principles.” He said that the platform would prohibit any nudity or adult content. Ally Salama revealed that the platform would use a mix of technology and humans to review all content. He further explained that the platform accepts creators on an invite-only basis.

In recent years, the content creator economy has increased rapidly globally and in the Middle East region. Millions of Gen Zs and millennials have joined the content creation sector. According to the Creator Economy Report, there are over 207 million creators globally. 

Various content creator marketplace like OnlyFans and Patreon allows creators to make money from viewers based on business models. 

Fanfix, a content creator marketplace like OnlyFans and Patreon, has over 7 million creators globally. SuperOrdinary acquired Fanfix in 2022. SuperOrdinary did a soft launch for Fanfix in March 2023. 

To get verified on Fanfix, the user must have a minimum of 10,000 followers across different social media platforms. It also offers a “customer success team that works on a one-on-one basis with creators.”

The platform has struck a deal with Model Roz, a Saudi influencer, and Summer Bujsaim, another famous social media personality. They have reportedly received over six figures cumulatively in their monthly earnings.

Ally Salama explained that the platform can witness the most important paradigm shift over the next five years across the United Arab Emirates and Kingdom of Saudi Arabia within the creator economy in the MENA region.
