StarzPlay, a subscription-based video-on-demand service streaming platform, owned by Playco Entertainment FZ LLC, has launched a store for users in order to allow them to rent or buy movies after their theatrical run without any subscription.
The Starzplay Store is available on all devices that have the StarzPlay app. Users can watch recent movie releases at their convenience. They can also watch ‘John Wick 4’ and ‘Shazam! Fury of the Gods’.
Rida Mourtada, the head of product at StarzPlay, said, “We are continuously refreshing the store to add the newest releases as soon as they become available. Whether you want to rent or purchase a movie, StarzPlay Store ensures you can enjoy premium movies at your convenience.”
The store can be browsed and purchased on all devices, including smart TVs. It also offers in-app purchasing options in the mobile app.
StarzPlay is the leading subscription video-on-demand service in the MENA (Middle East and North Africa.) region. It streams Hollywood movies, series, documentaries, kids’ entertainment and US series. It also offers one-click Arabic subtitling as well as Arabic and French audio options.
Earlier this year, Kaboos, a series about Arab folklore and legends, produced in partnership with Image Nation Abu Dhabi, broke viewership records within 48 hours of the first two episodes premiering.

An anthology series exploring the Arab folklore and legends, Kaboos, has witnessed an unprecedented interest since the release. Many people watched the first episode of Kaboos, Al Ghoul, a story focused on a remote Bedouin tribe in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Nearly 90 per cent of users also watched the second episode titled Werewolf (Al Salawa), set in the 1920s in Egypt.
