Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, the Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, led the Eid Al Adha prayer at the Sharjah Mosque.
The prayer was also joined by Sheikh Abdullah Bin Salem Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Sheikh Sultan Bin Ahmed Bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, as well as several other Sheikhs, senior officials, citizens, and residents.
The prayer took place in the morning, and after its completion, Dr. Sheikh Sultan Bin Muhammad exchanged Eid greetings with the worshipers.
The Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs announced that 612 mosques and musallahs had been designated for hosting the Eid Al Adha prayers across the emirate.
These locations were prepared to accommodate the large number of people who come together to observe this important religious occasion. The Eid prayer was scheduled to take place at 5:47 am in Sharjah.
Eid Al Adha, also known as the Feast of Sacrifice, is a significant festival celebrated by Muslims worldwide. The Eid prayer, known as Salat Al Eid, is performed in congregation shortly after sunrise on the first day of Eid Al Adha.
It consists of two units of prayer followed by a sermon, during which Muslims listen attentively. After the prayer and sermon, people exchange greetings and wishes, marking the beginning of the festive day’s celebrations.
The timings for the Eid prayer in other emirates of the UAE were also announced. In Abu Dhabi, it was scheduled for 5:53 am, while in Dubai, it was set for 5:50 am.

In Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Ras Al Khaimah, the prayer was to take place at 5:47 am and at 5:46 am in Fujairah.
The Sharjah Department of Islamic Affairs has ensured the public’s convenience and accessibility for performing their Eid prayers by allocating 612 mosques and musallahs across the region.
