UAE and Albania Strengthen Ties as Sheikh Mohamed Receives Top Albanian Honour

His Highness the President of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, welcomed in a high-level visit the President of Albania, Bajram Begaj, in UAE to discuss how to improve bilateral relations and deepen cooperation between the two nations.

The meeting was attended by President Begaj who awarded Sheikh Mohamed the position of Albania’s highest state decoration, the Grand Star of the Supreme Order of the Eagle. The honour is for his efforts to promote diplomatic, economic and development cooperation between the UAE and Albania.

UAE-Albania Partnership Enters a Broader Phase

The Abu Dhabi talks recalled the expansion of UAE-Albania cooperation in various strategic fields. The two leaders stress the value of turning robust diplomatic connection into viable cooperation, which can help economic growth and sustainable development.

Trade, investment, infrastructure and renewable energy and technology were among the topics discussed. They also discussed bridging gaps for joint efforts in the areas of sustainable development and greater economic connectivity.
