The Dubai Chamber of Commerce recently announced the list of fresh non-Emirati companies joining the chamber during the first nine months of the year. The list highlights Dubai’s appeal among entrepreneurs from different nationalities.
Dubai Chamber of Commerce is one of the three chambers operating under the umbrella of Dubai Chambers. Indian companies continued to dominate the list during the first three quarters of this year at 12,142 fresh entries.
Pakistan came second on the list at 6,061 companies joining in the first nine months. Egypt occupied the third rank as 3,611 companies registerd as chamber members. Syria came next on the list at 2,062 entries.
Dubai’s strong appeal among global entrepreneurs
The UK and Bangladesh occupied the fifth and sixth positions on the list of top nationalities of fresh member companies. 1,886 companies from the UK registered this year. From the Bangladeshi side, the total number has come to 1,669.
Iraq, China, Jordan and Sudan occupied the remaining top 10 positions on the list in the same order – at 1,346, 1,109, 1,069 and 1,007 companies joining the Dubai Chamber of Commerce’s membership during the first nine months of the year.
In terms of sectoral distribution of member companies joining this year, the trade and services sector accounted for 41.5% of the total. The real estate, renting and business services sector came next.
