Last year, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed announced the launch of the Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI). The centre is going to assist different public entities in deploying future technologies across multiple sectors.
On December 12, 2024, His Highness noted a DCAI study that found that more than 800 artificial intelligence companies are progressing in Dubai. These companies are choosing Dubai for its incredible infrastructure, regulations and opportunities.
“The Future is Dubai, and Dubai is the future”
Dubai is putting substantial efforts into accelerating the adoption of artificial intelligence. The modern technology is shaping the future. “Our success lies in making bold decisions,” Sheikh Hamdan noted in a statement on X.
Supported by national talent and global partnerships, Dubai stands at the forefront of technological transformation, His Highness further mentioned, stressing that: “The Future is Dubai, and Dubai is the future.”
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, seeks to position the emirate as a global leader in preparing for emerging opportunities and challenges, alongside shaping the future.
The DCAI aims to train 1,000 employees from more than 30 entities on the uses of generative AI. It also seeks to launch dozens of pilot projects and enhance government services, besides increasing the productivity of employees and supporting startups.
Reinforcing Dubai’s status as a regional leader in AI
The Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI) seeks to enhance the performance of the public sector using different methods. For instance, it is going to use AI to conduct simulations that study the impacts of legislation, and support complex decision-making.
The centre also plans to reinforce Dubai’s status as a regional leader in AI research. It’s focus is on harnessing the use of generative AI to ensure the delivery of superior government services tailored to the needs of Dubai residents.
