uae field hospital in gaza completes one year treating injured palestinians

Established under the leadership of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, the country’s field hospital in Gaza has treated more than 48,700 injured Palestinians since it first opened at the beginning of December 2023.

During the 365 days of tireless efforts, the medical teams in the hospital conducted different surgeries across a broad range of specialities. The UAE has provided tonnes of medical supplies to aid Gaza under its Operation ‘Gallant Knight 3’.

The field hospital has also been offering telemedicine consultations using Starlink Internet. The facility uses advanced medical technology and supplies. It offers general and orthopaedic surgery, anaesthetic services, and intensive care for patients.

UAE supplying vital support to Palestinian people

In February, a prosthetics centre opened at the field hospital in Gaza. It has the latest medical devices in the field of limb treatment and rehabilitation. The staff have been helping people return to their normal lives.

Launched after an order by the UAE President after the bulk of Gaza’s hospitals took a hit, the field hospital has been treating tens of thousands of injured Palestinians and alleviating their sufferings as the Israel-Hamas conflict rages on.

The UAE has supplied vital support to the Palestinian people since the deadly conflict broke out in October 2023, including sending tonnes of food and clothing by air, sea and land, and providing shelter and medical care to injured and sick Gazans at UAE hospitals.
