Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, President of UAE, the country’s beloved cultural and entertainment festival – the Sheikh Zayed Festival – kicked off for its 2024-2025 season on Friday. It is set to run until February 28 next year.
In the initial hours of the festival, thousands of people from across the globe flocked to the venue to enjoy the opening events, such as traditional folk performances and gift distributions. Visitors love the blend of culture, entertainment and global ambience.
The Heritage Village at the festival is one of the key attractions. It lets its attendees make a journey into the past, exploring the UAE’s traditional life, customs and values across its four environments – mountainous, marine, desert and agricultural.
Several government pavilions at the Sheikh Zayed Festival are offering a unique character to the event through the promotion of information and cultural exchange. International pavilions are displaying different countries’ cultures, products and performances.
The festival opens at 4 pm. The entry fees remains Dh10, but people of determination, children under the age of 3 and senior citizens can enter the area for free. In a family-friendly environment, the festival offers an extensive collection of delicacies to choose from.
