The 8th edition of the Dubai Fitness Challenge kicks off October 26. Launched in 2017 under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, Deputy PM and Minister of Defence, the initiative is part of Dubai’s efforts to be recognised as the most active city globally.
The DFC includes several fitness activities and experiences across the city designed to motivate more people to embrace an active lifestyle. Starting Saturday, Dubai is going to transform into one big gym, hosting 30 days of fitness, fun and community engagement.
Running until November 24, the Dubai Fitness Challenge promises a great experience for people of all ages. The Dubai Run is again one of the major highlights and the grand finale. This monumental event turns Sheikh Zayed Road into a promising running track.
Dubai unveils Festival of Lights calendar: Excited?
There is also the Festival of Lights. Dubai is preparing to dazzle even more from October 25 to November 7. Residents and visitors can expect a packed programme of Deepavali entertainment and celebrations designed to unite all communities.
One of the major highlights this year is Noor – Festival of Lights. From October 25 to 27, the cultural fair is going to feature lights, artistic expressions, interactive experiences and performances. You can also attend the Deepavali Utsav on October 26.
Global Village Dubai is going to host Deepavali celebration from October 28 to November 3. There’ll be Rangoli art painting and magical performances. Entry tickets are available on the Global Village mobile application, official site or on-site ticket booking counters.
