The Emirati capital of Abu Dhabi is preparing to host five-time Grammy winner and iconic singer Mariah Carey in 2024. She is set to join a long list of prominent musicians from across the globe at Saadiyat Island for their three-month-long musical series, Saadiyat Nights.
The open-air music series launches on January 6, kicking off with a high-octane performance by Carey, organisers said on Friday. Tickets are already on sale, starting from Dhs200 for bronze tickets. The range goes all the way up to Dhs2,095 for front row stage views.
Saadiyat Island: ‘Middle East’s Leading Beach Destination’
Joining Carey on the roster are Iran’s popular performer GooGoosh and Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli. GooGoosh is set to perform on January 20 as part of her last tour and Bocelli is expected to take the stage on January 27.
The concerts shall be held at a specially constructed open-air venue that boasts scenic sea and city views, as per a press release from the property. Saadiyat Island has been crowned the ‘Middle East’s Leading Beach Destination’, housing some of the richest cultural attractions.
Carey is no stranger to the region, having performed in October last year in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. She gets counted among the bestselling female artists across the globe, boasting a career spanning more than 30 years and hits such as ‘All I Want for Christmas is You’.

GooGoosh has an equally impressive career, spanning more than 60 years. The singer and actress is one of the biggest celebrities from Iran. Expect a splendid concert featuring some of her biggest hits such as ‘Hejrat’ and ‘Man-O Gonjeshk-Hayeh Khouneh’.
