The national flag of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a country in West Asia, features the Pan-Arab colors of red, green, white, and black. It is the official flag in the UAE’s seven Emirates:
Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

The meaning of UAE flag colours
Red
The red colour in the UAE flag highlights bravery, strength and courage. On the flag, the red colour is the vertical band, which binds all the colours together.
White
The white colour in the United Arab Emirates flag highlights peace and honesty. It also indicates truthfulness and giving.
Green
The UAE flag green colour means hope, joy, optimism and love. It also represents the country’s prosperity, growth and progress.
Black
The black colour on the flag represents the power and strength of the country. It also shows the defeat of the enemies.
UAE Flag
The national flag of the UAE was adopted on 2 December 1971 by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founder and the former president of the United Arab Emirates. The UAE declared its independence from Britain on the same day.
The flag was designed by Abdullah Mohammad Al Maainah, who later became the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the UAE.

The United Arab Emirates celebrates flag day every year on 3 November. People raise the nation’s flag in celebration of the flag day. The UAE flags are raised on government buildings, public buildings, hotels, shopping malls, and educational institutions, among others. People also sing the country’s national anthem to celebrate the UAE flag day.
