Vodafone Qatar has selected Nokia as its partner to upgrade its mobile network and scale 5G services across the country. The agreement is an important step towards Qatar’s digital and telecommunications telecommunications infrastructure transformation to become future ready.
Nokia will upgrade Vodafone Qatar’s existing network and deploy sustainable and reachable 5G coverage based on the new agreement. The upgrade will increase not only mobile internet speed but reliability of voice and video calling, as well as the quality of streaming and gaming.

Vodafone Qatar CEO, Sheikh Hamad Abdulla Jassim Al Thani, said, “This deal is a show of our ongoing commitment to keep Qatar connected, using the latest in technology, innovation and comms.” and added it will support Qatar’s Vision 2030 by enhancing Qatar’s digital economy.
Nokia will provide its latest radio access solutions, giving Vodafone a better structure to work from and space for innovations like the Internet of Things, smart cities, and cloud-based services.
This partnership directly enables Qatar to become a regional hub for innovation as they launch plans with partners like Nokia who can contribute angrily to the digitization of prediction, problem identification and processing of connected devices.
