On Tuesday, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, the Vice President of UAE, and Saudi Arabia’s Prime Minister and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman exchanged friendly talks that reflected the strength of deep-rooted relations shared by both countries.
The UAE and Saudi Arabia are members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). The meeting came as an extension of the ongoing communication and fruitful bilateral cooperation in different fields, including trade and tourism.
Booming UAE-Saudi Arabia bilateral relations
The Gulf countries are looking to strengthen the bonds of fraternity and address common interests. The Emirati and Saudi relations are distinguished by their strength and solidity, as both hold on tight to their historical, political and economic ties.
Saudi Arabia is considered one of the largest trading partners of the UAE both regionally and globally. Gold, food industries and re-exported products represented in mobile phones are among the most important exports of the UAE to the neighbouring country.
The value of UAE’s investments in Saudi Arabia amounts to more than $9.26 billion. Furthermore, Saudi direct investments in the UAE have exceeded $4.36 billion, considering that there are about 73 commercial agencies and 26 companies registered in the UAE.
Strengthening Saudi Arabia-Iraq bilateral relations
Saudi Arabia’s Mohammed bin Salman and UAE’s Mansour bin Zayed held the discussions at AlUla. Earlier, the Saudi Prime Minister also met his Iraqi counterpart Mohammed Shia al-Sudani days ago at the same place in the Kingdom.
Their discussions centered on strengthening Saudi Arabia-Iraq bilateral relations and the efforts made to note security and stability in the region. The UAE is also putting substantial efforts into ensuring peace in different countries across the globe.
