The President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, popularly known by his initials as MBZ, has been invited to visit the Islamic Republic of Iran by the country’s President Ebrahim Raisi.
Reza Amiri, Iran’s ambassador to the UAE, delivered a letter of invitation to Khalifa Al Marar, the Minister of State within the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, on behalf of the Iranian President.
During a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, on Wednesday, the letter of invitation was delivered to Khalifa Al Marar. According to the state news agency WAM, Reza Amiri, the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the UAE, was present during the meeting.
In June, the UAE President held talks with Hossein Amirabdollahian, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iran, in the UAE capital. They discussed ways to boost relations between the two nations.

They held a meeting at Al Shati Palace in Abu Dhabi. The Iranian minister was on a working visit to the Emirates. He conveyed the greetings of the Iranian president to Sheikh Mohamed.
In March, the UAE president met one of Iran’s top security officials in Abu Dhabi. His Highness held talks with Ali Shamkhani, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council.
WAM said, “Their talks covered regional and international issues of mutual concern, and the importance of working to support peace and co-operation in the region to enable progress and prosperity for its people.”
Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, the National Security Advisor of UAE, and Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed, the current vice president and deputy prime minister of the United Arab Emirates, as well the minister of presidential court and member of the ruling family of Abu Dhabi, were also present at the meeting.
