UAE President congratulates Donald Trump on his election as 47th US President

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump has grabbed a landslide success in the US elections. Different media outlets have already announced his triumph. His opponent Kamala Harris of the Democratic Party has secured 224 electoral colleges so far.

Trump, on the other hand, has already secured 270 – the majority mark. He is going to be the second Republican to get a second term in office in 20 years. This highly polarised election campaign in the US recorded a couple of assassination attempts on Trump.

UAE President HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed has extended his sincere congratulations to Trump on his election as the 47th President of the US. “The UAE and US are united by our enduring partnership based on shared ambitions for progress,” he noted.

The UAE and US share more than 50 years of strategic bilateral cooperation. In his statement, His Highness highlighted that the Gulf state is interested in continuing joint efforts to ensure a future of opportunity, prosperity and stability for all.

Global leaders have been congratulating Trump on his election. Turkish President Erdogan congratulated “my friend Donald Trump,” hoping for the strengthening of bilateral relations and for the ending of regional and global crises and conflicts.

Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni and EU Chief Ursula von der Leyen have also congratulated Trump over US presidential election results. Indian PM Narendra Modi also extended his heartiest congratulations, looking for a stronger India-US partnership.
