Gallant Knight 3: UAE President’s Remarkable Effort for Gaza’s Well-Being

In a profound demonstration of solidarity and humanitarian commitment, the President of the UAE, HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has ordered the establishment of a fully-equipped field hospital in Gaza as part of the “Gallant Knight 3” humanitarian operation. In addition, the UAE has launched an initiative to bring approximately 1,000 Palestinian children from the Gaza Strip, accompanied by their families, for medical treatment at UAE hospitals.

Today, five aircraft with the supplies and equipment required for the field hospital took off from Abu Dhabi International Airport. The cargo is scheduled to be transferred to the Gaza Strip after being unloaded at Egypt’s Al-Arish Airport.

There will be several phases to the establishment of the 150-bed field hospital. It will include anesthesia and adult and paediatric intensive care units, as well as departments for general surgery, orthopedics, pediatrics, and gynecology.

This comprehensive humanitarian effort reflects the UAE’s commitment to alleviating the suffering and hardship faced by the people of Gaza.
