Henley Passport Index 2026: Complete List of Visa-Free Destinations for UAE Nationals
The United Arab Emirates passport has been able to advance to another milestone in the Henley Passport Index 2026 with the ranking of 5th place worldwide. The UAE is ranked among the most powerful passports in the world, and is the strongest passport in the Middle East.
The UAE has risen 57 positions to become the fastest performer in recent times, taking its long-term uplift of 57 positions to 146th place since the creation of the Henley Passport Index in 2006. Emirati citizens currently have visa-free entry, visa-on-arrival and electronic travel authorization (ETA) for travel to 184 countries around the world.
Why Is the UAE Passport Ranked Among the World’s Strongest?
Based on the Henley Passport Index 2026 which rates passports by how many countries the passport owner can visit without needing a conventional visa to enter, this allows them to enter without requiring one to visit a country.
Through continued diplomatic efforts, bilateral agreements and strategic international partnerships, the UAE has greatly broadened the opportunities available for Emirati citizens to travel. The United Kingdom (under ETA) and Albania, Andorra, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Georgia, Ireland, Kosovo, Moldova, Monaco, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Serbia, Ukraine and Vatican City.
Visa-Free Travel Across the Americas
With a UAE passport you will have unrestricted rights across North America, Central America and across South America and the Caribbean.
North and Central America
Commonly visited countries are: Canada, Mexico, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua and Panama.
South America
Emirati passport holders are also allowed to enter Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela without having to get a traditional visa.
Caribbean Destinations
Some countries such as The Bahamas, Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Saint Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago are visa free.
