UAE Innovates 2025′ kicks off to celebrate a decade of innovation

The UAE is celebrating the tenth anniversary of the Mohammed bin Rashid Centre for Government Innovation with a significant milestone, titled “UAE Innovates 2025.”

‘UAE Innovates 2025’ or the UAE Innovation Month, kicked off on February 1 to celebrate a decade of groundbreaking innovation across the country. 

Under the theme ‘The Power of 10 – Where Does Your Strength Lie?’, the event aims to bring together the federal government, private sectors, and the community to showcase how innovation has transformed life in the UAE. This initiative will honor transformative projects that drove national development over the decade and solidified the UAE’s position as a global hub for innovation.

Another major highlight of the event is the fifth edition of the UAE Innovates Awards, which aims to celebrate projects that shaped the country’s growth. Furthermore, the event will feature the Pitch@Gov program, focusing on renewable energy solutions. It will offer university students the opportunity to win up to AED 200,000.

The closing ceremony of the event will take place on February 26, celebrating the winners of the UAE Innovates Awards. It will also honor partners of the event and underscore the transformative impact of innovation across the UAE. 

This year’s edition also coincides with the declaration of 2025 as the ‘Year of Community’ in the UAE, highlighting the crucial role played by societal contributions in the country.

Mohammad Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, hailed the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai to ensure advancements in different sectors that helped in strengthening the UAE’s global competitiveness.

“The UAE Innovation Month serves as a nationwide platform bringing together all segments of society. Over the past decade, UAE Innovates has been instrumental in driving groundbreaking ideas, initiatives, and projects to enhance quality of life.’ This sentiment echoes the broader mission of positioning the UAE as a global hub for innovation,” he noted.

Throughout the month of February, the ‘UAE Innovates 2025’ event will feature hundreds of innovative activities and events aimed at both professionals and the general public. 

The UAE Innovates Exhibition will be at the center of the event to demonstrate the successful innovation of federal and local government entities’ projects over the past decade. 

“UAE Innovation Month has evolved from simply celebrating innovation to developing it, transforming inspiring ideas to impactful projects,” Huda Al Hashimi, Deputy Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Strategic Affairs, said.

The UAE Innovates 2025 Exhibition taking place at The Boulevard at Jumeirah Emirates Towers will be the largest exhibition since its inception. It will demonstrate the grandeur of innovative models and experiences positively affecting UAE society.

The sixth edition of the Pitch@Gov Program will focus on ‘Renewable Energy for a Better Life’. It will allow university students to win financial support totaling AED 200,000. Winners will also have the chance to join the Mohammed Bin Rashid Innovation Fund’s accelerator program to help promote the development of innovative solutions.
