On October 25, a Uae aid ship carrying 2,000 tonnes of urgent relief supplies for the people of Lebanon arrived at Beirut Port. It is part of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) nations continuous humanitarian support to Lebanon during the ongoing crisis.
The humanitarian aid dispatched demonstrates the UAE’s deepening support for the Lebanese people during the current challenging conditions. The ship carried 1,000 tonnes of food supplies and 1,000 tonnes of relief and shelter equipment.
The latest dispatch has brought the total amount of humanitarian aid supplied from the UAE for the Lebanese people to 2,610 tonnes. These extensive efforts highlight the values of cooperation and solidarity running in the Emirati society.
UAE’s commitment to humanitarian solidarity and collaboration
On October 4, the UAE launched an urgent humanitarian campaign for Lebanon. The initiative has also collected 1,300 tonnes of relief supplies. 24 Emirati organisations have extended donations and thousands of citizens and residents have volunteered.
The UAE’s ongoing humanitarian support for Lebanon reflects the country’s commitment to humanitarian solidarity and collaboration. The UAE has dispatched a total of 14 aircraft as part of the relief campaign for the Lebanese people.
Minister of State Noura al Kaabi led the UAE delegation to the Paris conference for Lebanon on Thursday. Organised by French President Emmanuel Macron, the international event helped raise $1 billion in pledges for humanitarian and military support for Lebanon.
