For the third time in a row, Dubai in the UAE has grabbed the top spot on Tripadvisor Travellers’ Choice Best of the Best Destinations Award, setting the milestone of being the first city to pocket such a rare and remarkable accomplishment.
The list has been prepared based on reviews from millions of global travellers, considering the quality and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and experiences in each destination between October 1, 2022 and September 30, 2023.
Issam Kazim, CEO of Dubai Corporation for Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Visit Dubai), highlighted the emirate’s appeal to travellers seeking a safe, secure and easily accessible destination. The city is committed to maintaining the highest standards in its offerings.
Dubai is the place to be in 2024
Tripadvisor’s best destinations list describes Dubai as a place that features a great blend of history, modern culture, adventure, entertainment and shopping. The travel guidance platform also has a reliable itinerary to explore the destination more conveniently.
Last year, Remitly named Dubai as the Number 1 city to relocate to. In addition, it became the Number 2 city in Euromonitor International’s Top 100 City Destinations Index 2023 and also featured in the top 10 cities in the Global Power City Index.
The acclaims highlight Dubai’s appeal as a global liveability hub, offering a unique lifestyle to residents from 200 different nationalities. The city features both luxury and affordable accommodations, besides scores of culinary attractions and cultural sites.

Notable factors such as robust air connectivity, ease of entry initiatives, strong public-private partnerships, exceptional quality of life and globally recognised culinary scene substantially solidify the emirate’s position as the ultimate destination of choice.
Official data suggests Dubai received 15.37 million international overnight visitors between January and November 2023, representing a staggering 20% increase over the same period in 2022. The city seeks to become the best to visit, live and work in.
The figures further bolster the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33) – that aims to double the size of Dubai’s economy over the next decade and consolidate its position among the top three global cities on the planet. The plan includes 100 transformational projects to meet its goals.
