The iPhone 16 and 16 Plus have been launched with the actions button inherited from the 15 Pro and a new eye catching camera bump. The phones were launched during the annual event in Cupertino, California. The primary colour that the phones are being available at is black.
Camera System
The rear cameras are now stacked vertically on a smaller pill shaped camera bump. The camera system features a 48 MP fusion camera with a 2x Telephoto option, giving users the option of using 2 cameras in one while the new Ultra wide angle lens enables seamless macro photography. Next gen Photographic styles are there to be used to help users personalise their images, and spatial photo and video capture allows users to relive moments through Apple Vision Pro.
The camera control acts as a dedicated shutter button and a way to change various settings in the camera app. The phone’s double cameras come with upgrades that are equivalent to four lenses.
Colours and Screen
The screens come at the same sizes as that of iPhone 15 series, the predecessor. iPhone 16 and 16 Plus has a 6.1 and 6.7 inch display respectively. Other than the vertical camera lenses, the design is pretty same.
The iPhone 16 series comes with many more colour options including vibrant ultramarine, pink, and teal options along with the standard white and black.
The A18 Chip and Apple Intelligence
Other than visual upgrades, there are other updates too. The iPhone 16 also comes with a new A18 chip, that is supposed to be 30 percent faster than last year’s model and more rugged therefore less prone to scratching and shattering.
The A18 chips aren’t useful now but after Apple intelligence arrives the next year, that is in 2025, the functioning will become more smooth. A new glowed up Siri, will be available that is the centre piece of Apple suite of Ai features. But the Apple fans would have to wait until next year to fully get the usage and functionality from their iPhone 16 series phones.
