Sharjah Ruler Praises Strong UAE-Kuwait Ties

Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammad Al-Qasimi, the ruler of Sharjah and a member of the UAE Supreme Council has confirmed that social ties and cultural educational legacy have united the UAE and Kuwait. 

Sheikh Dr. Sultan was speaking during a reception for Ali Al-Dhaydi, the State of Kuwait General Consul to the UAE which marked the end of his term in the nation according to a report published by the UAE news agency WAM on Thursday.

Ali Salem Al Thayedi, Consul-General of the State of Kuwait visited H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and member of the Supreme Council on Thursday as he concludes his term.

In addition, H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan wished Al Thayedi luck in his future pursuits which would help the State of Kuwait advance further and fulfill the goals of its citizens and leadership.

The General Consul was welcomed by the Sheikh Sultan who emphasized the close ties between the two nations. He expressed his hope that the Kuwaiti envoy would succeed in his future endeavors.

The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) which also consists of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman is made up of the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait. In order to strengthen ties between the Arabian Gulf nations and pursue mergers in a variety of industries, the GCC was established in the early 1980s.
