Welcoming 250 exhibitors from 60 countries and hosting 9,620 visitors, QTM emerged as a vital platform for Qatar’s travel industry. The Hosted Buyer Program, in collaboration with Qatar Tourism, facilitated over 100 face-to-face meetings, leading to significant MOU agreements. Rawad Sleem, Co-Founder of NeXTfairs, expressed gratitude for the unwavering support, emphasizing QTM’s role in positioning Qatar as a global tourism hub.

QTM 2023: Paving the Way for Tourism Excellence

The resounding success of the second edition of Qatar Travel Mart (QTM) echoed through the halls of Raffles Hotel in Doha. With a notable 50% surge in visitor attendance and a diverse participation of 250 exhibitors from over 60 countries, QTM solidified its standing as a pivotal platform for Qatar’s travel and tourism industry. The three-day international conference, in collaboration with Qatar Tourism, facilitated over 100 face-to-face meetings through the Hosted Buyer Program, fostering partnerships and investments.

Rawad Sleem Commends QTM 2023’s Achievements

Rawad Sleem, Co-Founder and General Manager of NeXTfairs for Exhibitions and Conferences, expressed elation over the outcome of QTM 2023. The event witnessed over 9,000 attendees, showcasing a commitment to excellence and a dedication to reaching new heights. With the patronage of H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, and the attendance of H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al Thani, Minister of Commerce and Industry, QTM garnered support and recognition.

QTM Awards Recognize Excellence in Tourism

The Grand Gala Dinner at Raffles Hotel celebrated excellence in the travel industry, with awards presented to distinguished recipients. Malta received recognition as the Sustainability Champion, Turkiye for Most Accessible Booth, Qatar Tourism for Arab Tourism Capital and Innovation Excellence Booth, Saudi Tourism Authority for Family Friendly Destination, Katara Hospitality for Leaders in Hospitality and Best Designed Stand above 150sqm, Mowasalat for Transport Excellence Booth, and Ezdan Palace Hotel for Best Designed Stand below 150sqm.

Global Village and Cultural Showcase Enhance QTM Experience

Participants at QTM enjoyed the Global Village, featuring cultural performances and traditional celebrations from 25 embassies. The immersive experience included representations from countries like Thailand, Mexico, India, Russia, the Dominican Republic, and Kyrgyzstan. Experience Qatar, as the Official Destination Management Company, curated a memorable three-day adventure for media guests, exploring Qatar’s unique landscape, Unesco-listed landmarks, and rich cultural heritage.

QTM 2024: Anticipating a Grand Third Edition

Looking ahead, QTM sets its sights on the third edition, scheduled for November 25 to 27, 2024. The event aims to continue its legacy of promoting Qatar as a prominent travel and tourism destination, aligning with Qatar’s National Vision 2030 and contributing to the nation’s economic and social progress.
